A couple of years ago I started blogging. I had formed my own company, Make A Way Media. I had written and self-published a few children’s books. I had a website and a platform and everyone, everyone, told me I needed to start blogging. So I did. But the issue was, I didn’t really have the heart for it. I was really busy and did not really know what to say and truthfully, I thought there was just so much noise out there already that I would just be another voice adding to the noise.
I blogged a few times, but it was clear that the passion wasn’t there.
Long story short, I just wasn’t ready and that’s okay.
Finding my Blogging “Why”
Over the last few years, I have written a few more books, attended some book festivals, become literally immersed in the book social media world and personally grown a little. I am ready to add my voice to the noise because I now know I can set my voice apart from the noise. I have something to say. Some won’t care, but a lot will, and I think that a few years ago I would have enjoyed hearing what I now want to say about this journey. What I have to say would have been helpful and important to me back then as I was starting out, and still today, as I walk in this world of diverse books and publishing.
And the same principle applies to what you have to say.
What value do you bring to the world.
What is it you want to change? What are you passionate about.
What sets your voice apart from the noise?
What do you have inside of you that will make the world a better place?
Find it. Acknowledge it. Share it.
And in the process find your “why” as well.

I hope that you will enjoy the journey to your “why” too and I would love to hear from you as I share my story.
Please let me know if you have a question or a topic you are interested in. I plan to share lessons about strength, hope, and perseverance because my experience has been that there are far more roadblocks, detours and exits on this highway marked Quitsville than there are on the road to arriving at your dreams. Together we can talk about learning how to persevere and arriving there together because even after ten books, there are still days that I ask myself why I am still on this journey.
There are so many ups and downs. You have to stay focused on what is going right and get used to hearing no. No never means it is the end. It just means you will have to be a little more creative in making your way!
