An eBook Kind of Christmas

I like paper. I love the smell of freshly printed pages of a new book and the feel of a page before it becomes dog-eared from loving use. It feels very natural and comforting to me to hold a physical book in my hand maybe because that’s how I grew up.

I know I am not the only one who loves paperbacks or hardcover reads, but I also know for a fact that in our technology-based world, many people like the ease and portability of consuming their beloved books on some sort of an e-Reader. E-books come with font flexibility that helps the reader see the story better and e-readers can store thousands of e-books on a single device! Imagine trying to find room in your home for all of the books you want to read.

There is no right or wrong way to read a book, just the act of reading in any form is acceptable. This is just not the world we live in now: we live in an “ebook-kind-of-world,” and I’m okay with it.

There are children now who love to hold a Kindle or Kobo device in their hands and instead of turning the page, they try to scroll through to the next image. This is their world now and so, for them, I spent a great deal of time in 2020 turning some of my books into ebooks.
