World Read Aloud Day is celebrated on the first Wednesday of February. LitWorld founded the campaign in 2010 to advocate for access to literacy and diverse stories, as well as the power of reading aloud – an activity that has an immensely powerful impact on children’s development.
Every year, World Read Aloud Day (WRAD) has been one of the top trending hashtags on Twitter, celebrated by millions of people in over 170 countries.
World Read Aloud Day is a day of reading, fun, author visits, and the sharing of book lists.
